APPROACH

Time Heals Everything – FALSE! The Role of Somatic Experiencing™ and NARM™ in Counselling

The truth is that time does not heal everything. Often, we ignore and discount our struggles, leading to feelings of anger, distance, and hopelessness. To achieve effective trauma recovery, we need support to navigate the events in our lives and create lasting, positive change.

My therapeutic approach combines somatic therapy and NARM™ therapy to address the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. This holistic perspective emphasizes teaching theory, feeling your emotions, and engaging in experiential exercises. These experiences allow you to explore your feelings rather than just discussing them, broadening your perspective and encouraging curiosity about your unconscious thoughts and belief systems.

By integrating these techniques into our sessions, we bring counselling into your everyday life, promoting permanent transformation. The first step to empowerment is making a choice. By deciding how you approach your trauma, you reclaim control over your healing journey.

Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit for Trauma Recovery

At Safe Harbour Counselling, Sarah’s therapeutic approach blends Somatic Experiencing and NARM™ therapies, fostering a profound integration of the mind, body, and spirit. Effective trauma recovery requires addressing these interconnected aspects to promote lasting transformation. By recognizing that trauma impacts individuals on multiple levels, we empower clients to reconnect with themselves and find balance. This holistic perspective supports emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Transpersonal therapy transcends traditional psychological methods by considering spiritual and existential dimensions of healing. This approach encourages clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, sensations, and experiences in a safe environment. By nurturing the mind, body, and spirit, we facilitate deep personal awareness and resilience, which are essential for effective trauma recovery.

The Importance of Mind, Body, and Spirit

Our approach recognizes that trauma affects individuals on multiple levels. By focusing on the mind, body, and spirit, clients can reconnect with themselves and find balance. This holistic perspective allows for a comprehensive understanding of trauma, fostering a deeper process that integrates emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Trauma recovery is a journey that requires sensitivity and support. Our experienced therapist utilizes a variety of techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. By creating a safe and nurturing environment, she empowers clients to confront and process their trauma, promoting healing across all dimensions of their being.
